Liverpool's 7-0 victory over Manchester United was a major disappointment for the visiting team who suffered their worst defeat in over 90 years.

According to the English newspaper The Guardian, the game started lukewarm and the first half ended with Liverpool winning 1-0. But, in the second half, Mohamed Salah and his attacking companions disputed all the balls and seemed determined to print a historic defeat to the rival.

Manchester United's embarrassment took Erik ten Hag, who had just won the Carabao Cup with the Red Devils against Newcastle, back into the crisis he seemed to have overcome.
