CAN 2023: Angola Eliminated in the Quarter Finals.

Angola, coached by the Portuguese Pedro Gonçalves, was eliminated today in the quarter-finals of the African Football Championship (CAN 2023), after losing to José Peseiro's Nigeria, 1-0.

For the third time in the quarter-finals of the most important competition of African nations, Angola was defeated by a goal from Loookman, in the 42nd minute, in a match played in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

In the semi-finals, Nigeria, African champions in 1980, 1994 and 2013, will face the winner of the meeting between Cape Verde and South Africa, scheduled for Saturday.
