TAAG Reinforces Flights on Regional Routes

TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola will increase, starting September 02, flight frequencies on regional routes with the highest market demand, including São Tomé and Príncipe, the company announced today.

In a statement, TAAG states that the changes come “following the development of the 'Hub Luanda' and with the aim of strengthening the company's strategic positioning as a link between the nations and economies of the continent".

This increase in flight frequencies also covers Cape Town (South Africa) and Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo).

From 02 September, the frequency to Cape Town will increase from seven to nine weekly, with twice-daily departures on Wednesday and Saturday and daily departures on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Flight frequencies to São Tomé increase from two to three per week, departing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

To Brazzaville, the flight frequency increases from one to two weekly frequencies, departing on Wednesdays and Sundays, exclusively during the daytime.

The Angolan airline emphasizes that, in parallel with the increase in frequencies, TAAG “carried out a comprehensive optimization of its general flight schedule“, by introducing connections on new days of the week on non-daily routes, redefining departure/arrival times and adjusting days of operation.

With these adjustments, TAAG aims to guarantee its customers greater flight availability, an increase in connecting/stopover flights between domestic, regional and intercontinental services, and a reduction in waiting times on flights with stopovers or overnight stays.
